George Mason University’s Institute for Biomedical Innovation
George Mason University’s Institute for Biomedical Innovation at the Science & Technology Campus in Prince William County sought additional technical support to assist in the overall delivery of Mason’s College of Science Biochemistry Research Facility and CAP Lab. The research lab facility was under development through a public-private partnership between the Gilbane Development Company and George Mason University.
Facility Logix provided technical project management services to supplement the University’s capabilities in designing and delivering a research laboratory building. We worked closely with the College of Science to ensure that the project captured the College’s research and compliance needs. Facility Logix provided technical lab design services as well as move-coordination of sensitive research equipment and samples, ensuring that grant-funded research activities were minimally interrupted, if at all.
The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) retained Facility Logix to conduct an analysis of the county’s life science industry.
United Therapeutics Corporation (UT) sought to design and develop the first full service Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion (EVLP) Center in the United States. Time to market was critical for the delivery of the building for initiating US clinical trials.
Facility Logix worked with a local real estate provider to detail the property’s attributes and to evaluate the potential market for a buyer of the building for its highest and best use as a fill-finish site.
