Innovation Alliance of Baltimore

The Problem

This non-profit organization sought to understand the needs of the Baltimore innovation community, identify impediments to success, and to develop strategies that would invigorate and catalyze the innovation community’s ability to play a sustainable part in economic development and job generation.

The Solution

Facility Logix conducted a broad survey of Baltimore’s innovation community and used that feedback to develop and moderate a town hall forum in order to establish a group consensus. Based on the ideas raised at the forum and a review of best practices, Facility Logix developed a new model for innovation that is currently being implemented.

The Innovation Alliance has found its work with Facility Logix invaluable. We are designing a highly flexible hub for innovation that would integrate an incubator, co-working, education and event space for Baltimore's innovation community. Such a facility doesn't exist elsewhere, so Facility Logix had to research elements of comparable models and assist us in designing such a facility. Their ability to undertake research in uncharted waters has been critical to our early success.
